This turned into a career that spanned over two decades. During this time, Elaine receives a Business Management and Construction Management degrees.
Having the knowledge, skills and abilities, Elaine founded LaPutt Enterprise LLC in 2010.
Initially starting out performing residential construction; interior home renovations, new construction single family dwellings, construction and project management.
Through the years, Elaine realized the lack of diversity in the industry and began to transition the company to a commercial signatory contractor. She knew this was her way and opportunity to address the lack of women in the industry overall.
